How to cook sushi rice at home The most important step to making a sushi roll at home is to know how to prepare the rice yourself.

To begin, you’ll need to purchase a rice mat, which you can purchase online.
You should then prepare your rice by placing it in a large bowl and pouring boiling water over it.
This is the easiest way for the rice to cook.
After the water boils, you can add rice into the bowl and stir the rice vigorously for about 30 seconds.
The water will be slightly thick and will add a nice texture to the roll.
Then you can remove the rice from the bowl.
